What they heard was more a function of what they were smoking combined with the volume of the music they were listening too. Its the one thing that the vets and the college kids of the day had in common. I can tell you stories of chicago in 1968 and assure you that all the guys in my group would swear to it but be assured there was an alternate reality a block away. Only consistency was mary jane and the doors. mike
