To put the allegations in perspective, consider that they are being made approximately 35 years after the events took place. A similar span of years would result in allegations about conduct during the Battle of the Bulge in WWII being brought up in 1979. That said, Kerry put this in play, so it's fair game. I'd rather that people focus on the fact that he's an empty suit. He has 20 years in the Senate with virtually nothing to distinguish himself. That's far more damning of the man than rash actions he may have taken in a wartime setting 35 years ago.
