Hope you are right. I will shut up for a few days and see how bush approaches things as we move toward the convention. This is the most bizzarre pres race i have ever seen. mike

Perfect rant, Andrew! <g> Saw General Tommy Franks on FOX today talking about his book American Soldier. He also stressed that he is an Independent, and not a Dem or a Repub....(Smart man!) In his book, he also told the "behind the scenes story" of how President Bush came to be on the aircraft carrier in May 2003.....Franks said it was something he asked Mr Rumsfeld if he would ask President Bush to do. He wanted to show the military men and women that they had done a good job in that part of the mission, and that he was "so pleased that his President" had honored his request. He hadn't counted on some of the people in the blue zones (my words) being so dimsighed.....and so vituperative (again my words.) He is too much of a gentleman to say that, but in effect, that's what he meant.
