My point is its not fair to the competition to have to plan a new campaign with 30 days to go. Providing as much head notice is the fair way to play. If Ryan hemmed and hawed through sep 30th then he would have been as bad as Torricelli. He didn't do that. As much lead time was given of a switch to the Dems. The Alan Keyes announcment now rather than two months from now shows common courtesy to prepare to fight Keyes now rather than an unamed opponent till the last month.
