the thing is it's not the kind of thing you can really get from books, there was no Book left behind, and there was and has been a lot of stuff lost with the invasion, especially wrt to their top chaps, but the amount of study these people put in is phenomenal, basically they never stop until they do, some of the schools stop earlier on than others and stay stopped, if you can call it that, others having realized that they can stop if they want to, decide what to do, so they have a lot of fun. It's ultimately about direct transmission which is why it is so crucial to the lineage protect, is so important. These funky fellows might look interesting, but it's about more than those interesting but old books. The mountains are truly breath taking, too bad about the food. They say that every thousand years a single lone dove, flys high above the hinalaya with a silk scarf in it's beak and brushes the top of the mountain. The amount of time that it takes to wear down the mountain, that's what it's all about. You could do worse than to walk a mile in their shoes, but ultimately it's an an experience.
