I think under normal circumstances Mintz would have met Bush. These weren't normal circumstances. If you have ever worked on a campaign its incredibly long busy hours. Bush did not hang around looking to make new pilot friends. He did his four days of drill and thats it. And the drills were done on non-regular UTA days so even less people would have seen him. He probably even brought campaign work with him to do. I would have given nothing else assigned. I bet he found an empty office and worked alone. Who is going to remember something like that. He got his piece of paper signed that he was there and that was that. Drill credit. Of course what he actually worked on is pure speculation but would explain everything.
