I wonder, too. If he is captured or killed will we have created a martyr for terrorists to rally around? Perhaps. Osama may be a martyr, or he may not. On the other hand, would NOT going after Osama be construed as a sign of weakness in the Muslim world - which values "honor" above all else? Osama is directly responsible for the murder of nearly 3,000 people. He is not, like Saddam, a potential threat - Osama IS a threat. I think we have to go after him and let the chips fall where they fall. You said....." At this point Osama is a charismatic leader who can rally hundreds to his cause. If he were out of the picture, the propaganda machine would slow down.".... That's a really good point. I wonder, I really wonder if that is what would occur or would the fanatical part of islam be so enraged that islam terrorists attacks would increase.
