On the Viet Nam vet issue:

I know a number of Viet Nam vets and all but one are pro-Kerry. My eyebrows always raise when I hear SI posters who claim to be vets say that there are few veterans who are Kerry supporters.

It just isn't true.

I suspect that the majority of vets in the New England states are pro-Kerry and the majority of vets in the midwest are against him. But to characteristize ALL Viet Nam vets as a single entity is unsophisticated and untrue.
