LIES! Kerry never claimed he "murdered innocent civilians", he claimed at a few times his crew was involved in atrocities. In war, there are many atrocities. Only intentional ones are evil and wrong.

To my knowledge, his boat killed many enemy but also killed civilians on two occasions. Once was an innocent mistake. The other time is was SWiftVet Steve Gardner who did the killing against Kerry's orders to cease fire. Gardner is the only Kerry crewman against him now because Kerry wanted him court martialed for the killings.

Otherwise, any soldier in combat in Nam would see or hear about multiple atrocities. Arguably, entire programs of ours were atrocities such as Agent Orange, carpet-bombing of villages and napalm, not to mention the CIA's notorious Phoenix Program which included beheadings and disembowlments of VC suspects.

I believe that our great system could not put a man of such poor character in such an important position. You sound like Michael Moore on the other side. Anything to score a point, even if it demeans our greatest leaders. There is plenty to argue about on the issues. We do not need to drag our leaders through the mud to sway voters.
