Of the four or five versions I've read they are inconsistent about other enemy fire, other VC with rocket launchers or grenade launchers, whether the VC was knocked down by a M60 (.308 cal) or a dual or quad .50 cal, whether the B4 rocket launcher was loaded when Kerry killed him behind the shack. The accounts do agree the VC was wounded and ran away. The question is whether this VC was the same one who fired the initial rocket and ran..in which case his launcher would have been empty behind the hooch and Kerry murdered the wounded guy.
