OT *** oil does not correlate to naz. If it did, we'd have heard about it by now. Naz swings from <500 to 5000 on your chart [10x], oil only 10 to 40 [4x]. Naz has the greater effect on the ratio naz/oil and that's why it looks similar.

Thanks for the work you did! I don't deny that every additional $ spent on the same amount of oil is stolen from other things we might have spent it on.

Thanks Gottfried and RtS for putting up the data. As usual, I can find correlation and non-correlation, depending on the time frame used.

Lately, of course, we have a day to day correlation. Crude up 0.50 - NASDAQ down 20 points, crude down 0.50 - NASDAQ up 20 points.
