Bush wishes he had Kerry's service record but Bush made his choice and Kerry made his choice.

It was KERRY who decided he had nothing going for him and and pushed his war record as a basis of electing him.

He brought it forward. He can now see it chopped down...

Kerry was definitely decorated, there is no argument there, unlike Admiral Boorda who added to his ribbons a few undocumented combat Vs as I recall. Good question on what medals Bush earned. He should have a National Defense Service Medal.

I provided a link where one of his flying pals said that four of them signed up for Vietnam but they didn't get picked. I'll take the guy (Fred Bradley) on his word on that with regards to "palace alert".

No I saw the tape already. I always say its better not to make a decision at all rather than to rush into make any bad decisions. If the 7 minutes were that crucial under say a NORAD launch warning and need to make a retaliatory missile strike and to launch bombers, where time is truely critical, I would expect an aide to interupt the President and tell him this is time critical rather than simply, "We have been attacked".
