NHP, this is a long time coming.

Some European countries have had biometrics included in national ID's.

An embedded flash chip would be great. I wonder how it would be read though??? Perhaps
similar to the embedded animal ID's with some type of inductive activation?

Passports to contain memory chips

As far as I could tell the article doesn't say what type of memory chip would be used to store data. Hence is it reasonable to speculate passports with an embedded chip will expand the market for NAND flash memory?
