Iran and North Korea used the opportunity to fast-track their nuclear programs -- they can do this without fear because they know we are completely bogged down in Iraq. They also know that having nuclear weapons provides them with protection that Saddam lacked. So while we eliminated a threat that did not exist, we enabled real threats to grow far more serious. As for Iraq, the threat comes from the process we started -- a process that is on the road to a complete meltdown of the region. This meltdown is exactly what the terrorists have waned all along. This meltdown gives them strength, and the hope that they can prevail as the governments in the region are destroyed one by one.

its quite obvious that preinvasion, NO ONE "knew" for sure.... for sure, and this is absolutely certain, no ifs, ands or buts about it, Cheney and everyone else said “No Doubt” about It, quite a number of times so to speak. If they didn’t know for sure, as you assert, why would he say so,"no doubt", and how come is it then, that in the Ether between the final classified NIE report and the one that was presented to the public, how come, well what was the causal motivation for the way that the public report was presented. Does the ether really mean either or, do you think that tha's how it works, and where would be the evidence for such an assertion. How come is it that according the senate Intelligence report, how come things were changed from being Uncertainties to being as if they were stated Facts on the ground. Pretending that something that as you your self say is uncertain, well pretending that it is in fact a Fact, well this is clear evidence of lying. This is the evidence that the case was not built from the ground up but from the sky down and that sounds like faith, not knowledge, and the American people deserve to know the facts, not the Fantasy, but then again they enjoy fighting on Osamas turf, but the idea as SunTzu or GST will tell you is to control it, not to capitulate to it. This can mean the difference between winning and losing the war. It's what makes us different, or so we'd like to believe. I suppose that you think that all those who think that Bush lied, or that this admin is a bunch of scoundrels, are just making an honest mistake, maybe not, you tell me, what do you think, in the light of the circumstances on the ground how can you blame them for thinking this. Besides with all these skunks running around, the problem is that all one can do is to hold ones knows and press those nostrils tightly together. The problem with this is that it cuts of the Air supply which is the Vital Element that contains nothing, but which like earth water wood fire and metal is that which people rely on to live. Since it is the essential to living properly, it is a bad idea to pollute it, and so the truth is that all that is left to do the job in this case is the mouth, the mouth, the mouth, or do you disagree.
