One thing that pissed me off about Kerry was his calling Vietnam, "Nixon's War."

What a pissant. He joined (after not being permitted to defer and go to France) in 1966 and left Vietnam in early April 1969, less than 3 months after Nixon took office.

As I have noted here before, using a logical allocation method for combat casualties, Kennedy and Johnson bear the burden for about 48,000 combat deaths and Nixon only 8,000 or so from the mess he inherited.

Nixon's War, indeed.
