LOL. LBJ and Nixon were both huge escalators of the war. Nixon didn't want to end the war, the public made him. And heros like John Kerry made him. Nixon hated having to end the war. But he was first and foremost interested in getting re-elected. Therefore, he put on his peace-making hat and did what the people demanded. If it hadn't been for men like Kerry that war would haver lasted longer and thousands more Americans would have been DEAD for no real purpose.

LBJ, like Bush, was in bed with Big Oil, Big DEfense, and the Halliburtons of hie era. He, Nixon and Bush all were backed by those corporate special interests Eisenhower warned us about, the ones who want us to stay at war because they make tons of money when we do, whether the war is justified or not.
