I don't think that's an accurate description of McCain's viewpoint, given that he's been one of the most active supporters of the Iraq war. In fact, he's probably a lot closer to the "neocon" line-of-thinking than you might want him to be.

That would not surprise me; however, I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
