Yeah, those damn "Christian fundamentalist" are always sniping school kids in Washington DC, hijacking Moscow musicals, homicide bombing in Israeli pizza parlours and on Israeli buses, blowing up French oil tankers in Yemen, and slaughtering night clubbers in Bali.

If you are using 'fundamentalist' as a shorthand to identify someone believing that their particular religious principles should govern society (or, even more critically, who believe in religious control of government --- Theocracy), and whom generally reject modern science and long for the explicit societal dominance of 'faith' over reasoning... then I would agree with you that often they have much in common.
