I'm seeing a swell of support from folks in my community that supported Gore last time. This year they have Bush signs in their yards...very interesting indeed.

Amazing to see how quickly people want to stab you in the back. Bush and his henchman are probably one of the scariest group of leaders in Washington DC that we have seen at one time. The patriotism that we saw in this country for a brief time after 911 and the invasion of Iraq was a special moment in this country where most people were able to overlook their ideologies to embrace their focus on one common enemy. However, focus on 1 common enemy is not necessarily a good thing. Imagine if all Americans woke up each day with the same common hatred. It would be scary if all Americans could be brainwashed so easily. America is probably the only country in the world that is so diverse that we actually worry about our perception as "ugly Americans" in the international community.
