Predictable behaviours
or
The Amazing Maze

I laughed when I saw your description of your boys, I love to try and figure out what motivates my children. I see the very obvious and predictable behaviours that are common to almost all children, but many times I find myself in the Amazing Maze.

I was reading the local newspaper one day and I came across an article in the Family Life section featuring comments by local schoolchildren, lo and behold there was a comment from my youngest child, Boy Graystone. The paper asked the children a list of short questions and one question was "What are you going to be when you grow up ?". The boys produced the expected list, firemen, policemen, astronauts, but Boy Graystone's answer had a twist, he was going to be a "fireman in Nova Scotia", go figure.
