Rasmussen Poll as of August 7: Bush 47% Kerry 47%
On July 22, before the Democratic National Convention, Bush's totals were 45% and Kerry's 48%.

So, Since July 22, the Rasmussen Poll shows a net gain for Bush of 2% and a net loss for Kerry of 1%.

This 3 point spread is what is now widely known as the "Kerry Post Convention Negative Bounce."

And Bush's best days are in front of him with the Republican Convention coming at the end of August and the real campaign just getting under way.

So what is out there to rescue Kerry and give him back his bounce?

Except recently he's been too busy to show up for briefings on terrorism.

I heard Gen. Tommy Franks on Tony Snow today. Vert apolitical guy, Gen. Franks, but he's thinking about endorsing ... Bush. 100s of hours of working with Bush and no flip-flops.
