"But that is not good for Cheney and Bush, as they are beholding to the oil lobbies. Whoa they can't let that happen. It would drive oil prices down.
You know that is true eh?"

I doubt that is true and very subjective cheap shot. You have congress to get bills going. Bush could veto a bill and congress can over ride it. Put the blame on your congressman! He or she is the blame on not having an energy bill. However, they are doing what their district voted them to do otherwise i assume they would be voted out.

Bush been in four years what did clinton do? this is not president it is congress and public.

You can be oil independent somewhat but whatever it is comes out of your pocket. natural gas being burned by the power companies in this country in the last several years now consume over 25% or home natural gas . So who is paying for the switch from heavy oil or coal to natural gas the home owner. Just think we would have 25% more natural gas in the states and cheaper prices if congress made the power companies put in scrubbers to clean the gases from coal or heavy fuels instead they let them switch and take fuel away from home heating and prices sky rocket. that is your congressmen.
