re: You target close states, and energize the base. Remember, we are really dealing with 50 separate elections. The total vote means nothing. Yes, in the end I think this is about getting out the vote (unless there is a dramatic event). It's about organization, it's about motivation, it about folks working their precinct to death. All the folks that are freaking out about principle, on both sides (myself included), are wasting their bandwidth. They should stop wasting their time posting their BS opinions on the Internet and start ringing doorbells for their party. I've been there and done that, I've been a "pro". It's no longer about issues, it's about work. The party that works the hardest will win, and deserves to win. John
