the real economy must return back to our shores from Asia
the USDollar must come down 40% more
bankruptcies must increase many multiples
groundwork for national initiatives must be laid

Greenspan did not push through the tax cuts that have mushroomed the deficit again. Furthermore the President has a lot of power over Greenspan if he wants to use it - he didn't. It is the role of a President to lead. If America is going down the wrong path the President can - indeed should - use the bully pulpit to turn the ship towards shore. Turning the ship towards the hurricane all the time whistling yohoho, does NOT give you a pass of 10% culpability as Commander and Chief.
