Lindy, re: There are a group that is much larger than usual for the Dems that is not motivated to vote for Kerry. They just don't care about their guy. It could be argued that there is a very large Dem group that hates Bush more than any previous Pres. re: On the other side, there is a group of Evangelicals that is much more motivated than usual to get out and vote for Bush. They care very much that they and Bush are being attacked for their religious beliefs. Yep, he is playing that constituency for all it's worth. It will be interesting. OH, FL, many smaller states if those split. But stuff could happen in the meantime that could swing things. If there was a terrorist attack, I'm still not sure which candidate that would benefit. (BTW, I wish there was a thread on SI that was at least just slightly non-partisan, that talked about the election from a arms length distance. I think that's what you intended here.) John
