Sunday August 08, 2004--The latest Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll shows President George W. Bush with 48% of the vote and Senator John Kerry with 47%. The Tracking Poll is updated daily by noon Eastern.

This is the first time since April 26 that Bush has reached 48% in our daily Tracking Poll. For most of the past month, he has been attracted support from 45% or 46% of those surveyed.

Kerry has been at 47% or 48% for eleven of the past thirteen days. Once during that time frame, he slipped to 46% and once he reached 49%.
