Bush continues to gain:Sunday August 08, 2004--For the third straight day, 53% of American voters say they approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. Another 47% disapprove.

This is the first time since mid-April that the Approval Rating has been at 53% or better on consecutive days. Bush reached that level just once in the entire month of July and once in June.

During 2004, the President's Approval rating has ranged from a high of 57% in early January to a low of 48% on May 17.
