I thought it was interesting the choice of words that Card used to inform him of the second plane hitting.

You would think he'd say "a plane hit the other tower" or something to that effect, instead he said "the nation is under attack."

Clearly he was trying to get through to El Chimpo Stupido that as president he was expected to do something, not just sit there like a slack-jawed idiot.

He'd been informed that a plane had crashed into the tower before ever arriving at the school.
Some theorists have their answer to those events.
It involves very bad things though.
