Free Flowing Iraqi Oil
Iraq stops pumping oil in south - official
Monday, August 9, 2004 3:57:22 PM

BASRA (AFX) - Iraq's Southern Oil Co has stopped pumping oil after militia threatened to attack local oil infrastructure, a company spokesman said. "We have stopped pumping oil for security reasons," said Hasaneen Mohammed al-Mohammedi, without providing further details

Security was stepped up around vital oil infrastructure in the south, which is currently the only outlet for Iraqi exports after an attack on the northern pipeline brought limited exports there to a halt last week

Yes once again it time to give praise and thanks to the Bush administration for living up to its promise of free flowing oil in Iraq and cheaper prices.
