I remember a majority of Republicans in the House and Senate voting for NAFTA.

The House Rep for local area was one of the few Democrats at the time who did not vote for NAFTA. He is running for reelection on Nov 2 and, as usual, he'll get my vote. He & Ross Perot were absolutely correct about NAFTA causing the giant sucking sound of American jobs to Mexico & elsewhere. Clinton applied all sorts of pressure to get our House Rep's vote for the trading agreement, but he absolutely refused saying it was not in the best interest of the American worker. Split ticket for me in Nov ....GW & Dem Rep.
