eMerge Interactive announces alliance with Mettler-Toledo unit (EMRG) 1.32 +0.12: Co announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Mettler-Toledo's (MTD) Safeline Metal Detection division outlining a future relationship that incorporates collaborative distribution, manufacturing, and development of several VerifEYE food safety technology products and applications. As defined in the M.O.U., Safeline and EMRG intend to establish an exclusive distribution agreement for the VerifEYE Solo units in the food processing and food retailer (grocery) markets throughout North, Central, and South America. The M.O.U. includes provisions to establish a similar relationship for the distribution of EMRG's VerifEYE hand-scanning hygiene system, which is currently in development.
