I've got to agree with Ann on this one, Steve. I think there are a lot of folks who drag their behinds home from work, turn on the tv, and if they hear that Candidate A is winning or has already won, throw their hands up in the air and reach for the remote.
I'd like to see the networks call the election after all the polls have closed.

It's just a gotcha game the networks play with each other on election night, except this particular game can change the outcome of an election. How would the rule "no projections until all polls are closed" harm free enterprise? The melodramatic commentators always make their pronouncements sound infallible.
