Bush an AWOL and President Cheney when given the opportunity to fight for our country had better things to do! However, lets go back and visit history on this subject and recorded history at that! Going back to the last century, the US was involved in a few wars starting with WW I and just who led this nation to VICTORY!!! Drum rollllll....a Democrat! Jump ahead to WW II...Victory and who lead this war effort from the White House? Another drum rolllll...A Democrat! During this war the most profound decision that has ever been made in how to conduct a war and attempt to end a war was the decision to use the atomic bomb...by one Harry Truman. So far...TWO wars, TWO Victories, TWO Democrats. Now we jump to the Korean War, a war in which a third rate nation gave us no quarters and FORCED the US to throw in the calf-rope and opt for an armistice..and who was in the White House when this occured...A Democrat? Hell, no! It was a Republican. If this debacle wasn't enough then jump ahead a few decades and we have another little war on our hands in another third rate country called Viet Nam. And what party was in the White House during the greatest number of years of this war and what political party was the president from when the last helicopter flew out of Saigon as we ABANDONED our war efforts against this third world enemy...was it a Democrat? Hell, NO it was another WAR PRESIDENT like George Bush! Now jump to the current time and another war in which we have a real "war hero and fighter"leading the nation and try to remember how long ago it was he that announced to the World...."Mission Accomplished!" And now even his staunches military leaders admit that it will be five years or more before we can get our stressed military out of Iraq, even though his OWN father told him and the world that it would be foolish for us to invade and attempt to remove Saddam by attacking Bagdad. Gee!!! This macho image of these fierce fighting Republicans as compared to the coward and un-American wussy Democrats!! To think...Bush sits for 7 minutes staring off into space when told that our nation had been attacked and he appears to be a deer caught in the headlights. JUST think...if he had given the order to evacuate the World Trade Center, how many lives could have been saved...instead he stares into space, then jumps on a plane and flies to Washington DC...but just so happens to go through Omaha Nebraska to get to our nation's capital to show bravery under fire!!
