"They are sworn statements from the Navy Officers who served with him."

In their desire for retribution, they spin the truth. Its not necessarily a lie at this point because they collectively believe what they say. There is no doubt in my mind that kerry has lied throughout his life--biggest being what he said before congress. Nail him on lies that can be proven. And be prepared to back up the charges on the ad with facts immediately, not on 8/15 when a fluff book with allegations is likely to emerge. I will apologize if i am wrong bill but i dont think there will be proof then either. I do think what i consider to be this slander(within bounds of US law) is having the effect you thought it would as bush is gaining in the polls. I guess i will take votes wherever i can get them. How do you explain guys like Kristol, Barnes, Buchanan, Will, Brooks agreeing with me, not you and Drudge? Mike

They are sworn statements from the Navy Officers who served with him.

I just watched a shouting match on Hannity & Colmes, between Hannity and Lanny Davis. It appears that the Democrat line now is, the SwiftVets are liars, because their ad says they "served" with Kerry. Apparently, it is the view, at least of Lanny Davis, that unless they were on the boat with Kerry, they did not "serve" with him and are lying.

What a bunch of bull!

If those men were in the same unit with Kerry, and were stationed with him at the same base, they "served" with him.

This is yet more of the sophistry and parsing of words that Democrats have become so facile with. I don't buy it, and I'm betting others won't as well.
