Bush Failed To Warn Vegas Of Terrorist Attack Plans

story.news.yahoo.com
What it proves is that all these warnings now have something to do with the political season.

Doesn't mean we haven't (finally) done some good work on Al Qaida but it means Homeland Security picks and chooses according to political concerns when it warns people. At least they do sometimes. Therefore Homeland Security should not be under the president's command but more independent. Notice Ridge also pimped for Bush during his warning announcement. "Thanks to the great work of President Bush" (gimme a break)

Also, it proves Bush is desperate to get the media covering his one and only issue, fighting terrorists. But to get them to cover it you have to release stories, and sometimes classified stories which should have been kept secret.

Ironic for a guy who let 9-11 happen on his watch, huh?
