You really should see "The Fog Of War" before you go posting partisan revisionist history. McNamara was the king of the hawks and is now a very haunted guilty man looking for forgiveness. Millions died because of he and others like him. The blame for Vietnam goes to the rightwing hawks, the Pentagon, LBJ, his corporate influences and then Nixon and his crew. It was another case of the wrong enemy in the wrong place for the wrong reasons based on lies. When JFK was fighting we only had a small crew there, Green Berets mainly running tribesmen, and we were actually "winning". But somehow JFK realizes the whole thing was a bad idea.
