I will remember this post. I am sure Terry McAuliffe is smarter than Ed Gillespie and hence he will not want to dwell on the Vietnam issue. Kerry has made his point with the Independent voters and the DNC would move on. Currently, with Kerry rising in the polls, they have the upper hand on issues such as reduced job growth, Iraq quagmire etc.

According to a TV political analyst, the Swiftboat vets' ad was directed towards Bush supporters. Bush wants to ensure that his base remains intact and enthused to come out and vote for him.

There are reports that people in large numbers are registering to vote this time. That is not good news for Bush.
