The Downward Trend Continues: 2Q04 Gas Production Survey Shows 3.8% Decline
Raymond James' Energy "Stat of the Week", August 09

"Much like in the 1970s, when oil production continued to fall, regardless of how many rigs were drilling,
we think we are nearing (if not at) a similar crossroads in the U.S. gas supply picture."

The Alaskan record for a halibut is 440 pounds. After they get above about 100 pounds there is only one way to "net" them. You take a hand gun and when the fish is alongside the boat, you shoot it in the head, and bring in the literally dead weight. Otherwise you can be in a sumo match with a creature that can go over 400 pounds.

[Edit: 459 pounds in 1996 in Unalaska Bay--
