Where are all these jobless Americans? Here's about a thousand or so from Northeast Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania House, a member of the La-Z-Boy family of companies, announced Monday it will close its manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Lewisburg, Milton and White Deer (PA). According to a news release, approximately 425 jobs in the Lewisburg area will be affected. All manufacturing and warehouse jobs there will be eliminated. zwire.com Techniglass a subsidiary of Nippon Electric, announced yesterday that it is closing a CRT plant in NE Pennsylvania, idling 650 workers plus another 250 in supporting industries... an impact estimated at $200 to the local economy, already struggling with a 7% unemployment rate.
