Election Year Cycles. The S&P 500 gained 66% from the bottom in October 2002 until the top earlier this year.

Historically when a top is formed the S&P 500 then falls more than (EDIT) 15% before the next long term bottom is formed. Please click on the COTD links:

Our favorite stocks gained much more than 66% and they have already lost more than 30% but the S&P 500 has not.

I hope you are buying for the short term only Michael because in my humble opinion we could get a nice bounce here but nothing more.
