OT Greg, isn't it?

RE: "I see mothers nursing all the time, just seems natural to me. Guess I'm just an old hippie but it seems the best for the baby to me."

You're just ahead of today's times. Isn't it unreal to see some of these companies just so far behind the times - in this day and age too?

It's amazing to me they would tell any human being to eat in the bathroom, let alone a baby that hasn't developed their immune system. One could argue a baby is a disabled human because it is completely dependent upon others, which would mean the fair treatment rules should apply equally to babies. Do they tell handicapped adults to eat in the bathroom because they don't like the looks of a wheelchair? It's obvious that babies are being completely discriminated against here. Am surprised Starbucks is taking such a risk - usually corporations lean towards the conservative side.

There's also an irony that any policy decision maker that thinks it's inappropriate to see a mother nurse, may want to consider they are the problem, not the mothers who are simply trying to feed babies. Maybe this decision maker (Starbucks CEO) should lock himself in the bathroom to eat, since his interpretation of what he sees is actually the problem. Maybe there's something wrong with him. Creating a poor policy for their company, has a way of reflecting very poorly on themselves. I mean, if they were like you and thought it was perfectly normal, their policies would already be there. There's obviously something wrong with this CEO - maybe he should lock himself up in a bathroom when he eats at restaurants - keep himself out of sight since he is the problem.
