That is perfectly ridiculous. The going rate in the United States is usually $20 for a small lawn. It takes less than a pint of gasoline to mow that. The pint of gasoline costs around 25 cents at present prices. The incremental cost over what it was two-three years ago is about 15 cents.

That kid has learned to whine real well, however.

Les, tell us that story is a hoax. Sure sounds like one---only an adult could come up with those quotes attributed to the alleged kid. <<GG>>
