#1 Lesson Learned: Never against elect oil executives and their lobbyist type buddies to national office. Bush-Delay-Cheney plus Enron Ed Gillespie, Bandar Bush, Carlyle Group, Halliburton and all the rest. They will gouge, steal, pollute and deceive if given the power. What did anyone expect? The GOP needs to demote big oil to a supporting role in the future. Too much absosule power absolutely corrupts. We also need strong regulation in the energy sector from now on. In energy's case, regulation is a very good thing.
