They both served during wartime. One volunteered for duty in Vietnam. The other served in the National Guard...except for periods when he decided not to show up.

If you think that's honorable, then you, my friend, are the moron. Why don't you tell us how that is honorable? Would Joe Blow have gotten away with that? I think not.
