In Seattle area you can use a map and just highlight a location zoom in pick a lot and get tons of residential info online.

Does your county/state require a tax to be paid with the deed stamp on a sale? Yet doesn't on a name change or transfer to new entity.

Look at the deed stamp. Find out what the rate is per $1000 in your county.
