It makes for an amusing food fight, but that's a lot of energy to expend on something that, in the end, is just a footnote, a curiosity given that even if the allegations are true, so what. Welcome back. You are giving me the kind of reaction I was hoping for. No fun when everybody agrees with you. I think you waaaaay underestimate the political dynamite contained in this. In any case, I said from the start I didn't think the Swift Vets could overcome the Kerry machine. So I will be disappointed but not surprised if this does not take Kerry down. In the meantime, I am really enjoy watching the media spike and squirm as they try to ignore it.

a curiosity given that even if the allegations are true, so what. If it is true that not only did Kerry somehow go grubbing for medals he wasn't entitled to, but that his fellow officers trusted him so little that they asked him to leave Nam after 4 months, and yet Kerry decided to make that 4 months the centerpiece of his campaign anyway, doesn't that say a few troubling things about his judgement, his options, and his cant-catch-me arrogance in the here-and-now? I know Kerry has been elevated from a phony to a world-class phony in my mind. Do you really think this is someone who will be able to function in office, whatever your political attunement?
