Very sorry to hear about your encounter with those yellow jackets. Apparently, you ventured too close to their nest and they saw you as a threat. You were lucky in that there , eh?

I believe you are not supersitious. Otherwise you would have considered the insect attack to be an omen to you to stop supporting Bush, and you have would destroyed those signs.

Did you see Guiliani's strident support for Bush in the New York Times this morning?

Ice it, and put Cortisone cream max strength + Benadryl cream all day(if not allergic to either). Have someone check your yard for nest, and destroy it. Could be very low...

One time I was using a utility tractor with a post hole digger on the back and bored into a nest of ground hornets. Hundreds of those suckers swarmed the tractor and were trying to sting it. I shut it off so they'd think they had killed it and slooowwly eased out of the seat and beat it.

I did get into a nest of them on a levee. Got nailed 6 times before I could dive into the river.
