Yes, I am the lone voice in the wilderness. But some of my best friends are Democrats. And I have more fun jesting with them than I do with my Republican counterparts. Fortunately, my Democratic friends have lived long enough to know the difference between friendly exchange of ideas and vitriolic arguments. And most of them really enjoy humor and satire. So we have lots of verbal fun. Even the Rector at my church is a liberal Democrat and I still listen to his sermons. He learned a long time ago not to cross the line between religion and politics on Sunday morning when fulfilling his spiritual responsibilities.
