Do you really think this is someone who will be able to function in office, whatever your political attunement? We have had a lot of Presidents just as flawed in their own ways. Nixon, LBJ, and Clinton were neurotic as hell and certifiable SOBs in many ways. Carter was just plan effete. Reagan, for all that he brought to the office, was quite dotty. The one we have now is just as flawed as Kerry in his own ways. I have as great a distaste of phonies as you do and probably a greater distaste for arrogance but presidents have lots of help to keep them functioning. I don't see how this revelation about Kerry is any more disquieting than the faults of his predecessors. that his fellow officers trusted him so little that they asked him to leave Nam after 4 months My skimming has left out some stuff. I hadn't heard that one. <g>
