Chinu, I came to the US
many years ago. I needed 2 sponsors to vouch for my financial independence.
The Government did not want people mooching off the Welfare Department.

That makes sense to me.

I applied for an Immigration Visa and after 7 month, I was allowed (quota restrictions ) to immigrate to the US.

Is that the way, you entered this Country?
